MatchCut Capital is a small specialist fund. We hire infrequently and carefully, across the intersection of institutional credit and the screen industry. There is no standing job board, but the expressions of interest below stay open year-round.

Most film finance teams sit on one side of the table or the other — capital markets or production. MatchCut Capital is built to keep both in the same room, with the authority to decide together. If you have spent a career arguing across that line, you will find the conversation here unusually direct.
We are wholesale-only, governed under the trusteeship of Gallantree Fiduciary Services, and structured for the long run. The work is allocator-grade in its discipline and producer-grade in its judgement.
Where we hire
Four disciplines, one investment committee.
Investment and credit
Credit analysts, deal originators and investment managers with experience in private credit, structured finance or specialty lending. Screen-sector exposure is a plus, not a prerequisite.
Production and creative strategy
Producers, line producers and creative executives who can sit inside diligence and read a script as well as a budget. Track record across feature, premium series or international co-production.
Fund operations and finance
Fund accountants, treasury and investor-reporting specialists comfortable with wholesale unit-trust mechanics, segregated custody and rebate-backed lending.
Legal and compliance
Screen counsel and financial-services compliance professionals working across AFSL obligations, chain-of-title, intercreditor and distribution agreements.

Expression of interest
Send a CV, a short note on what you would bring, and a couple of references. No cover letter theatre. We read everything.

Conversation, not interrogation
A first call with whoever in the team is closest to the work. We are interested in how you think, not how you rehearse.

A piece of real work
A short, paid exercise on a sanitised version of a live problem — a credit memo, a budget review, a deal structure. You see what the work is. We see how you do it.

Decision
A clear yes or a clear no inside two weeks of the exercise. If it is a no, we tell you why.
